Harmony Housing

We take the care of our residents to the next level, boasting a comprehensive and daily wellness program, a weekly Resident Rewards Program to recognize outstanding strides in sobriety, and a Graduation Savings program which provides an optional opportunity to build financial stability that supports women in their transition out of the group home. To encourage fellowship, we take our residents out for movie dates twice a month!

This is sober living like you’ve never seen before. Our housing offers top-notch and updated features providing a clean and comfortable environment, sharing rooms with just one roommate.

Depending on the house, you might even get the companionship of a house cat. Find out more below!

Live in harmony at one of our Women’s Homes

Bonnie’s Place

Named after a Dayton recovery icon.

She’s a beautiful, gated, two-floor, four-bedroom home with a back patio to relax and hangout... The hammock is a resident favorite! We have a lovely gal house cat that purrs like crazy, our unofficial emotional support animal for all your snuggling needs.

Bloom House

Our newest home! This four bedroom and two bathroom home. With fenced in back yard and TWO covered porches for spending time outside.

The walls of this home are adorned with murals of nature in bloom, as inspiration for our residents, encouraging them to bloom where they are planted, fostering growth during their time with us.

Wellness in Our Homes

  • A peaceful and supportive environment is crucial for the mental and emotional well being of anyone, especially women in treatment. We prioritize a comfortable, clean, and supportive environment by limiting our rooms to two women each. This ensures personal space and privacy which are essential for effective recovery. Our focus is on quality care, not on maximizing occupancy.

  • In addition to IOP group five times a week, we provide frequent opportunities and a full schedule with recovery related activities.

We have House Unity Days with a bond building activity in the home. (Play a game, cook a meal together, etc)

We have fitness days, providing resources and accountability for the group to go to the YMCA or to the woods for a nature hike.

We have service days, either supporting the garden, doing yard work, cleaning community spaces or volunteering.

    —-

Twice a month, we host Movie Dates, treating our residents to a special movie night, out at the theater. Each resident is welcome to bring someone, a significant other or friend!

  • Each week we recognize a resident with outstanding progress and commitment to recovery with our Resident Rewards Program. In addition to being recognized among their peers, they’ll get to choose from a variety of rewards. Rewards include gift cards to places like Starbucks, Uber, DoorDash, Sally's Beauty Supply, or the movies!

The Resident Rewards Program fosters active recovery in an engaging and enjoyable way, promoting the development of positive thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to long-term sobriety.

  • We encourage each resident to embrace a healthy lifestyle by providing YMCA memberships and Martial Arts classes, ensuring access to fitness and wellness activities for all.

Nature is healing, and any woman who wants to be in nature should never be tuned down… if you want to go for a walk in the woods, our case managers are there to make it happen.

  • The Graduation Savings Program is designed for women in their final months of recovery, offering an optional opportunity to build financial stability. A portion of the program fees is set aside and refunded to the resident upon successful completion of the program. This savings can then be used to support securing housing and other essential needs as they transition out of the group home. The program aims to provide a financial cushion, promoting independence and confidence as they re-enter the community.

  • We provide comprehensive and individualized support in navigating social services, transportation, legal matters, housing, and other essential resources to aid in recovery and reintegration into society.

  • At Harmony, we understand that service is integral to the recovery process. To foster a sense of responsibility and community, each resident is assigned weekly house chores. This not only helps maintain a clean and supportive living environment but also instills valuable life skills and a sense of ownership in their home.

  • We recognize the profound impact that the companionship of a four-legged friend can have on recovery and overall well-being. The joy and comfort of snuggling with a pet, along with the responsibility of caring for an animal, provide emotional support and a sense of purpose. To nurture the needs of the heart and enhance the healing environment, Bonnie’s place is a home with a loving cat, offering residents a source of unconditional love, comfort, and laughs.
